Coventry United, who have taken over the franchise of Coventry Spartans' Midland Combination Division 2 place, won their first competitive game.
In the Les James Challenge Cup at Leamington Hibernian, Stefan McGrath put United a goal up inside nine minutes.
In the space of fourteen minutes, Daniel Stokes hit a hat-trick before adding his fourth which was United's fifth in the 35th minute.
Leamington pulled one back in the 49th minute before Stokes scored again in the 63rd minute and although the home side scored a second goal, Coventry United were very worthy 6-2 winners.
