Coventry Rugby Club lost their first match of the season when they went down 21-16 at Blaydon.
Silver ran in a try for Coventry who had Cliff Hodgson kick three penalties and convert Silver's try.
Jeffrey, Smithson and Wearmouth scored tries for Blaydon who led 7-6 at half-time.
