First Conference Point For Nuneaton

Nuneaton Town earned their first point since promotion back to the Conference.

A crowd of 3,095 saw Nuneaton earn  a 0-0 draw at Grimsby Town this afternoon.

SOUTHERN LEAGUE PREMIER

Leamington FC came back to snatch a 2-2 draw at Bedford Town.

A James Mace own goal in the 43rd minute, had put Bedford ahead before Berwick levelled two minutes into the second half.

Bedford went back in front through Beasant in the 77th minute, but Daly snatched a point with an equaliser two minutes from time 

Bedworth United started back with a 2-1 home win over Bideford. All the goals at The Oval came in the first sixteen minutes and saw Spencer put The Greenbacks ahead in the second minute. Downing restored parity in the 12th minute, only for Mitch Piggon to score in the 16th minute, a goal that proved to be the winner.

SOUTHERN LEAGUE CENTRAL 

Rugby Town started the new season with a 4-1 win at Ashford Town (Middlesex). Lockhart-Adams opened the scoring for the home side in the 29th minute but VS scored two goal in two minutes through Lake-Gaskin (31) and Blythe (33). 

Both Rugby players also scored in the second half.

Stratford Town beat Coleshill Town 2-1

Atherstone beat Blackwood 4-0 at home, Coventry Copsewood won 2-0 at Southam United and Nuneaton Griff beat Bolehall Swifts 3-1.

Kenilworth Town were beaten 3-0 at home by Clements 83 and Leamington Hibernian drew 1-1 at home to Barton United.
