Wyken's Cal Crutchlow finished eleventh in his first Moto GP race of the season in Qatar.
Crutchlow had qualified eighth but could not catch the winner Casey Stoner, who became the fitst Honda rider to win an opening Moto GP race in eight years when he was 3.440 seconds ahead of second placed Jorge Lorenzo.
