Eighth Place For Crutchlow

Coventry's Cal Crutchlow finished eighth in the Gran Premio bwin de España MotoGP in Jerez this afternoon.

The Wyken lad qualifed in eighth place in a race which Pole sitter and race leader Casey Stoner lose his balance on lap nine, thanks to a mistake by Rossi and Crutchlow on his yellow and black Monster Yamaha Tech 3 bike, moved up to fifth.

Unfortunately, Crutchlow crashed on a wet track but got back on his bike and finished eighth in a race won by Jorge Lorenzo with Dani Pedrosa in second and Nicky Hayden in third.

Crutchlow is now ninth in the Championship with 13 points ahead of the next round in Estoril on May 1st.
