Eight Goal Blaze Stuff Cardiff

League leaders Coventry Blaze stuffed the Cardiff Devils 8-1 tonight in an Elite League fixture.

Last night, The Blaze won 5-1 in Cardiff with goals from Curtis Huppe (2), Dan Carlson, KC Timmons and Barrie Moore and at the Sky Dome tonight, they went three goals better.

As with the game last night, Blaze conceded the first goal. However, they more than made up by slamming seven goals in the second period. Dan Carlson was first to score. Man Of The Match Neal Martin scored twice as did Adam Calder. Jon Weaver and Russ Cowley also got on the scoresheet.

In the third period, Paul Thompson fielded a replacement net minder in Steve Fone to give him some experience and Curtis Huppe scored to give Blaze a superb home victory.

On Wednesday night, Blaze are at home to Newcastle Vipers in the Best Of British Challenge Cup before travelling to Nottingham Panthers on Saturday.
Next Sunday, Blaze are at home to Newcastle Vipers. Face off is at 6pm
