Warwickshire are now unbeaten in five matches after a nine wicket win Twenty/20 Cup over Northamptonshire.

At Milton Keynes, Northants batted first and struggled against the Warwickshire bowlers who again included New Zealand international Chris Martin.

Martin took the wickets of openers White and O'Brien before Neil Carter and Tim Gronevald struck to leave the home side on 37-4.

With Warwickshire target David Sales out for three, the wickets continued to fall with Ant Botha taking 3-15 off four overs.

Tailender Louw offered some resistance making a top score of 21 not out but Northants crashed to 102 all out.

Warwicks put on 62 for the first wicket which was that of Neil Carter who hit 52 from 28 balls which included five fours and four sixes.

Opener John Trott (24 not out) and Jim Troughton (27 not out) steered The Bears past the required total.

After five consecutive away games, Warwicks return to Edgabaston tomorrow to take on Worcestershire. Play is due to start at 5.30pm.
