Coventry Storm Speedway Team were well beaten 63-29 at Dudley tonight.
The Storm started off on the back foot with two 5-1 losses before Robert Branford won the third heat to give the Storm a 4-2 win.
However, another 5-1 after James Sarjeant had fell off his bike and remounted to finish last, was followed by a 3-3 and a 4-2 to see the Storm 24-12 down.
Branford took the tactical ride in heat seven for a 4-4 but Dudley hit back with two 5-1's.
The track was graded following a 3-3 in heat ten and a 4-2 to Dudley plus a 3-3 saw the Storm 26-48 down with three heats remaining.
The Storm's Brendan Johnson was excluded from a re-run heat thirteen after hitting first Sarjeant who in turn took down Morris and that allowed Morris and Blackbird to take a 5-1.
Heat fourteen was also re-run and a 5-1 put Dudley thirty points ahead before a 4-2 in the final heat saw the Storm crash to a 63-29 loss.
