Draw For Nuneaton But Leamington Lose

Nuneaton Town came back to draw in the local derby at Hinckley United this afternoon.

The Knitters took the lead in the fourth minute through Newton but ten minutes into the second half, Moore levelled for a share of the spoils.

The draw keeps Nuneaton fourth and Hinckley still in the bottom three.

Leamngton went down to a 3-1 defeat at Barwell.

Former Coventry Sphinx winger Jamie Towers, playing against his former club, put Barwell ahead in the 22nd minute.

Sanders made it two in the 55th minute before Morley pulled one back for the Brakes in the 74th minute.

In the third minute of stoppage time, Towers scored again in front of a crowd of 375.

In the Warwickshire derby in the Southern League Central Division, Bedworth United came back to beat Rugby Town 4-1 at The Oval.

Rugby had lead through 34th minute penalty but Matty Piggon scored in the 50th and 63rd minute before Brown netted in the 85th minute and Pollard, added a fourth three minutes into second half stopppage time.

In the Midland Alliance, leaders Coventry Sphinx won 3-1 at Coleshill Town, Stratford Town won 2-1 at Highgate and Atherstone lost 3-1 at Kirby Muxloe.

In the Midland Combination Premier Division, a 38th minute goal from Moore gave Nuneaton Griff a 1-0 win over Coventry Copsewood.
