Draw For Nuneaton

Nuneaton Town came back to take a 1-1 draw against Braintree Town at the Sperrin Stadium.

A crowd of 1.031 saw Matt Paine head home a Massey cross on the half hour mark but in the 64th minute, Theo Streete, scored his first goal for the club to give Kevin Wilkins side a draw which dropped them down a place to fifth in the table.

 In the FA Cup Third Qualifying Round, Rugby Town drew 0-0 with Worcester City at Kidderminster Harriers and will replay on Tuesday night at Butlin Road

In the Southern League South & Western Division, Stratford Town went down to a 4-3 defeat at Tiverton. Stratford trailed 2-0 before Jamie Sheldon netted in the 33rd minute from eighteen yards. Wright put Tiverton 3-1 up but on the stroke of half-time, Joe Halsall scored a second for Straford.

Having lost striker Matty West due to injury, Dan Parker smashed home an equaliser but two minutes from time, the hosts won the game with a long range effort that crept in.

In the Northern Premier League Division One South, Bedworth United lost 1-0 at Rainworth Miners Welfare. James Martin scored the only goal in the 47th minute in front of a crowd of 68.

In the Midland Combination Premier Division, Coventry Copsewood won 2-1 at Castle Vale JKS, Nuneaton Griff were beaten 6-2 at home by Studley and Southam beat Pilkington 2-0.
