Coventry Rugby Club drew 27-27 with Blaydon this afternoon at Butts Park Arena.
A crowd of 745 saw Luke Myring kick a second minute penalty for Coventry but Blaydon went straight up the other end with Smithson running in a try which Baggett converted.
Myring kicked another penalty in the sixth minute only for Wearmouth to score with a ninth minute try which was again converted by Baggett.
In the thirteenth minute, Myring ran in a try and converted his kick and with Baggett kicking a penalty twelve minutes later, Blaydon led 17-13 at the break.
Smithson increased Blaydon's lead with a 61st minute try before there was three tries in as many minutes when Ben Russell and Myring went over for Coventry and Painter scored a 70th minute try for Blaydon.
The game moved into extra time at the end of the eighty minutes and Parkin scored with a try which O'Connor converted to give Coventry a draw.
