Nuneaton Town went down to a late defeat at Southport in a Conference Premier game

Boro were down to ten men with Gareth Dean sent off for a second bookable offence when Danny Hattersley scored the only goal of the game in the 88th minute.

Leamington were beaten 3-2 by Altrincham at Moss Lane.

Alty gave a debut to Friday`s signing Danny Higginbotham, and the crowd of just under 1,000 didn`t have long to wait to see the home side take the lead.

Damian Reeves, headed Alty ahead in the fifth minute from close range.and in the 53rd minute, it was two when Kyle Perry scored at the second attempt.

In the 57th minute, Leamington were awarded a penalty which Matt Dodd converted and sixteen minutes later, Joe Magunda levelled.

The Brakes had a shot cleared off the line but in the 88th minute, substitute James Walshaw scored from 25 yards to send Leamington to a defeat.

The only games to survive in the Midland Combination Premier Division saw Nuneaton Griff draw 2-2 with Bromsgrove and Racing Club Warwick win 2-1 at Pilkington.
