Defeat For Nuneaton

Nuneaton Town were beaten 1-0 at home by Gateshead in a Conference Premier Division fixture at Liberty Way this afternoon.

Nuneaton had already had keeper Neil Collett taken to hospital following a training ground incident and went down to a goal by Odubade in the 63rd minute.


In the Southern League Premier Division, a fourth minute goal from Tom Berwick gave Leamington a 1-0 win over Cambridge City at the New Windmill.

Bedworth United went down to a 1-0 defeat at Bashley. Middleton scored the goal in the first minute of second half stoppage time.


In the Southern League Central Division, Rugby Town went down to a 3-0 home defeat to Godalming Town.


In the Midland Alliance, a 17th minute goal from Ricky Baker gave Stratford Town a 1-0 win at Heather St Johns.


In the FA Vase, Atherstone Town were beaten 5-2 at home by Gornal Athletic. Ben Ashby scored twice in the second for the Adders.

Coventry Copsewood lost 4-3 at Pegasus Juniors, 


In the Midland Combination Premier Division, Nuneaton Griff beat Blackwood 3-1, Southam United beat Castle Vale JKS 5-2 but Racing Club Warwick were beaten 7-0 at home by Littleton.


In a Presidents Cup tie, Alvis won 6-3 at Greenhill.


In the Midland Combination Division Two, Kenilworth Town lost 5-1 at Burntwood, Coventry Spartans were beaten 10 (ten) -3 at home by Henly Forest, FC Stratford lost 2-1 at home to Perrywood and Coventry Spires lost 3-1 at Sutton United.
