Cycle Race Comes To Cov

The Hearts First Bike race comes to Coventry on Sunday October 5th.

Promoted by the British Heart Foundation,there are 30 miles and 50 mile races which start from Coombe Abbey Country Park.

Other Cycling News has been dominated by the possible return of seven time Tour De France winner Lance Armstrong. His former Astana team have denied this but media sources are claiming that the Texan has been practicing for five hours a day with a view to competing in the 2009 Tour De France which starts in Monaco in July.

The Tour Of Britain is in full flow with today's stage passing through the Midlands from Worcester Race Course to Stoke On Trent.

Great Britain Olympic Gold Medalists Bradley Wiggins, Geraint Thomas and Chris Newton are all competing alongside the likes of David Millar, Stuart O'Grady, Kim Kerchen and Magnus Backstedt.
