Crutchlow Remains Second

Wyken lad Cal Crutchlow is in second place in the title race after the Donnington Park British Superbikes meeting on Sunday.

Crutchlow who has not trained since having his ankle pinned after a crash, finished sixth in the first race, some 6.636 seconds behind leader Shane "Shaky" Byrne.

In the second race, Crutchlow finished on the podium in third place on his number 35 HM Plant Honda and is in second place in the riders title race on 122 points, some 68 behind Shane Byrne.



Crutchlow (pictured above) was happy with his podium placing and admitted that it was boring not being able to train. He also said that he was looking forward to getting back to training and wanted to be at Snetterton fresh and ready to race.

The next heat of the British Superbikes is at Snetterton on June 14th and 15th.
