Coventry born Cal Crutchlow finished third in AirAsia Australian Grand Prix at Phillip Island.

The Yamaha rider, who crashed last week in Malayasia, rode brilliantly to finish third behind Casey Stoney who took his sixth successive victory and Jorge Lorenzo who became the 2012 MotoGP World Champion with a second place.

A delighted Crutchlow, who paid tribute to Stoner and Lorenzo on their victories, tweeted;  "Good race and great to get another podium. "
