Coventry's British Superbike rider Cal Crutchlow dropped to third in the championship after today's meeting at Snetterton.

Crutchlow had sought the assistance of Coventry City physio Damien Delahunty in a bid to get fit for this meeting but in the first race, which was delayed by rain, the Wyken lad got off to a bad start. He dropped to eighth but a sterling effort saw him finish fourth in a race won by Leon Carnier. Race Two was better and Crutchlow was second until he was caught on lap 14 by eventual winner Shane Byran. and had to settle for third place. Bryne's victory gave him a good lead in the title race and the Aussie has 235 points with Carner on 152 just one point ahead of Crutchlow who is now in third.
