Coventry born Cal Crutchlow crashed out of the Red Bull Grand Prix Of The Americas.

The Ducatti rider started in seventh place in a race where Jorge Lorenzo jumped the start and moved up to fourth with nineteen laps to go.

He dropped back to seventh as World Champion Marc Marquez led the race and then dropped to tenth, appearing to have something wrong with his bike.

Crutchlow came into the pits with twelve laps to go and he went back out with a new back tyre in 21st place.

Four laps later and Crutchlow crashed, sliding for about fifty yards. He was conscious but his race was over and he was stretchered away to receive treatment for a broken hand as Marc Marquez took the win.
