Coventry Storm To Win At Kings Lynn

Coventry Storm Speedway team had a 48-42 victory at Kings Lynn Young Stars on Wednesday night.

With Joe Jacobs going off 15m in a re-run opening heat at the Norfolk Arena, the home side took a 4-2 win. Heat two saw Lewis Rose fall off and get back on his bike in a 3-3 before Robert Brandford and Brandon Johnson rode to a 5-1 for the Storm after James Cockle had been exluded for bringing down his team mate Jake Knight.

Cockle, who had been accidently hit by Johnson, was not able to continue and the home side had to replace him for the rest of the meeting.

A re-run heat four which the Young Stars won 4-2 had thwe scores level at twelve each and they were still level five heats later after five 3-3's.

Branford and Johnson rode to a 5-1 in heat ten and this was followed by a 3-3 and a 4-2 to the Stars.

Some good blocking by Joe Jacobs helped the Storm to a 4-2 win in heat thirteen with a 4-2 to the Stars meaning the Storm led by two points going into the final heat.

Branford and Jacobs gated superbly and rode to a 5-1 win for The Stom who won 48-42.
