Coventry Charity Football Cup holders Alveston won't be making a second consecutive appearance at the Ricoh Arena in the final of the prestigous local competition after being thrashed 7-1 by Coventry Copsewood tonight.

The Allard Way side were beaten by Alveston in last year's final but tonight they were out for revenge and got it with a Ross Wimbush hat-trick, and goals from Sproul, Kehla, Scarr and former Coventry City youngster Tim Partridge. Alveston's goal came from a Wilks penalty.

Copsewood will meet Highway Coundon Court in next month's Semi-Final with the winners going through to the final at the Ricoh Arena on Thursday May 5th.
