The Coventry Charity Football Cup, which distributes over £10,000 to seventeen local Coventry & Warwickshire charities, had its funds boosted by Chris Salter who raised £470 from organising the latest Crawley Cup.

The cup has been organised twice a year from when local footballing legend Ian Crawley who has scored in both the FA Trophy and FA Vase Finals at Wembley, was first diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease and this has continued since Ian sadly passed away in 2008.

Chris' Jaguar team play Ian's old team mates and they have probably raised more than £3500 which in the past has been donated to Ian's family and Motor Neurone Disease.

This year, Chris thought that the Coventry Charity Cup would be worthy beneficaries. Not only was it a competition that Ian played in for Coventry Sphinx FC, but the money benefits local charities donated by Coventry lads.
