Coventry Blaze Lose In Over-Time

Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey team went down to an over-time defeat tonight.

At the Sky Dome, Cardiff Devils took the lead on 7.55 when Max Birbraer scored, assisted by Devin DiDiomete and Jamie Milam.

Birbraer was on the scoresheet in the second period when he netted on 25.34, assisted by Stuart McRae.

On 37.02 and with the Blaze, shorthanded, they came back with an unassisted Shea Guthrie goal.

Into the third and Cardiff scored a third thanks to Mac Faulkner finding the net on 50.03 but the Blaze went up the other end and immediately reduced the arrears when Mike Schutte scored on 50.55, whose powerplay goal was assisted by Shea Guthrie.

Cardiff had thoughts of a victory but on 58.59, Mike Bayrack made it 3-3, assisted by Mike Schutte and Shea Guthrie to send the game into over-time.

However, on 63, 27, the Devils were able to get their win when Tyson Marsh scored, assisted by Ben Davies and Phil Hill
