Coventry Blaze Hit Fife For Nine

Coventry Blaze beat Fife Flyers 9-0 tonight and took maximum points from their first Elite League weekend.

At the Sky Dome tonight, The Blaze were ahead against the Fife Flyers whom they beat 2-0 last night, when Greg Owen scored a powerplay goal after 57 seconds, assisted by Gordon and Fulghum.

On 11.04, there was a second powerplay goal for the Blaze fans to cheer when Farmer scored, assisted by Fulghum and Gordon and on 17.41, Farmer hit a second, assisted by Kralj and Fulghum.

A fourth goal came, 25 seconds into the second period and it was Guthrie who found the net, assisted by Kralj and Weaver.

Paul Thompson's side upped their game once more and hit Fife for three goals in a short burst with Farmer,.Fussey and Fulghum putting the Blaze 7-0 up after 32.38.

Towards the end of the third, Coventry hit two more goals with Phillips and Kralj on target as the Blaze recorded a 9-0 win.
