Coventry Blaze went down to a 5-2 Elite League defeat again Belfast Giants tonight at the Sky Dome.

George Awada gave Belfast the lead at the Sky Dome when he scored on 1.20, assisted by Robert Dowd and Jeff Mason.

Two minutes and twenty seconds later, it was 2-0 to Belfast when Ryan Crane found the net with assists for Awada and Dowd.

Just before the end of the first period, Mark Garside scored a third with an un-assisted powerplay goal.

Whatever Blaze Coach Paul Thompson said to his troops at the end of the first did not seem to work as George Awada made it 4-0 to Belfast, some fifty six seconds into the second period.

Matic Kralj pulled one back for the Blaze with an unassisted goal on 22.19 and on 30.38, scored a powerplay goal, assisted by Jermaine Domish and Greg Owen.

Belfast's fifth goal of the night came on 38.16 when George Awada completed his hat-trick, assisted by Brock McBride.

There were no goals in the third period and Belfast took the win.
