Coventry Blaze Beat Cardiff

Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey team beat Cardiff Devils 7-3 tonight.

In a pre-season challenge game against Cardiff Devils at the Sky Dome, Coventry took the lead through Jurynec, assisted by Owen and Fulghum on 1.43 with a power play goal.

A second soon followed with Domish scoring on 7.55, assisted by Farmer and Nell. Cardiff pulled one back through Matzka assisted by Birbraer on 9.08 but Coventry's two goal margin was restored when Jurynec got his second of the night on 14.03.

Luke Fulghum scored a powerplay goal on 21.08, assisted by Owen and Jurynec but back came Cardiff on 27.02 when Pierce assisted by Matzska with Coventry scoring through Guthrie assisted by Cowley on 29.39 to make it 5-2 to the Blaze at the end of the second period.

The Blaze fans had to wait until 53.07 for the sixth goal which came from Jon Weaver,assisted Phillips and Guthrie. Again, Cardiff hit back with Dobben scoring on 54.08.

Kralj on 55.17 hit a seventh, assisted by Fulghum and Owen to wrap up a good night for the Blaze.
