Coventry Bees were victorious from their trip to Ipswich tonight with a 49-41 victory.

The Bees went into the meeting at Foxhall without the injured Chris Harris and called up Shane Parker to replace Prezemyslaq Pawlicki at number seven.

Former Bees rider Rory Schlein was riding for Ipswich and he picked up a point in the opening heat for a third place as the Witches rode to a 4-2 victory.

In the second heat which had to be re-run, Shane Parker took the win with Aaron Summers second for a 5-1 to the Bees. Ipswich won by the same margin in Heat Three and then won the next heat 4-2.

Three heats all finishing 3-3 were followed by Bridger and Parker taking Heat 8 to level the scores at 24-24.

Heats 9 and 10 finished 3-3 with Kazprzak and Bridger getting a 5-1 followed a 4-2 for Barker and Summers to see the Bees 39-33 up at the interval.

A re-run Heat 13 finished all level and Ipswich won Heat 14 4-2.

The Bees needed something from the final heat and Ben Barker and Kasprzak made sure the points were going back down the A14 to Coventry with a 5-1 win to give the Bees a 49-41 victory.
