Coventry Bees Speedway Team have confirmed that they will be facing Leicester over two legs in the East Midlands Bowl.

The sides are set to meet twice on the same day, Sunday October 13, with the first leg at Brandon at midday and the return at the Jordan Road Surfacing Stadium at 6pm.

The Bees have also confirmed that they will be tracking as many of their first-team squad as possible, and the team will be completed by Coventry rider assets.

Admission prices for the home meeting will be £15 for adults, £13 for concessions and £5 for children aged 11-16. Season ticket holders admitted free of charge.

Coventry owner Mick Horton said: “This fixture has been on the cards for a couple of seasons now, and it should be a cracking day of action.

“Leicester will be strengthened considerably and I know they are set to announce a couple of surprise riders for the meetings.

“This must be one of the biggest local derbies there is, and I’m sure supporters like us will be really looking forward to it.”
