Coventry Bees Lose At Wolves

Coventry Bees were beaten 48-42 at Wolves tonight.

At Monmore Green tonight, The Bees had Emil Sayfutdinov who had got to the final of the British Grand Prix on Saturday night, back at number and Simon Lambert guesting at number six .

They were up against a strong Wolves side which featured Fredrik Lindgren, Ty Woffenden and Peter Karlsson.

Wolves thanks to a cracking gate from Fredrik Lindgren won the heat with Sayfutdinov having to settle for second in a 4-2 to Wolves.

Although Bees youngster Peter Kildemand gave it everything he had in Heat Two, he could not stop Ricky Wells and Tyson Burmeister from getting a 5-1 win.

Prezy Pawlicki won heat three for a 4-2 for the Bees but in heat four which was twice stopped, Wolves charged to a 5-1.

Heat five finished 3-3 to see Wolves 19-11 ahead and that lead increased by two more points as Wolves won heat six 4-2.

Back came the Bees with Pawlicki and Ryan Fisher sealing a 5-1 win and in heat eight, Larsen and Kildemand rode to a second 5-1 to tie the match.

Heat nine finished 3-3 and meant that both teams now had 27 points.

Wolves tipped the scales back in their favour with a heat ten 5-1 and two 4-2's either side of a 3-3 had them 43-35 up with two heats to go.

The vast majority of a large crowd were happy as it was a 3-3 in heat fourteen and although the Bees won the final heat 4-2 they went down to a 48-42 defeat.
