There was only one side in the Rugby League Conference Midland Division top of the table clash and it was the Coventry Bears who hammered Bristol Sonics 82-4.

With three players back from international duty, Coventry gave Bristol no time to settle at Old Coventrians Rugby Club and had scored three tries in the opening ten minutes.

By half-time, it was 52-0 and in the second half, Coventry scored seven more tries to Bristol's one to record a compelling victory.

Try scorers for Coventry were McGrory (3) S. Montague (2), Massey (2), Wilding (2), Hemopo, Solomon, L.Watts, Clendenning - Fenton with Nikki Hemopo kicking seven conversions and others for L.Watts, Pratt and Clendenning-Fenton.

Coventry are at home to Leicester Phoenix next Saturday.
