Coventry Bears Beaten By Champions

Coventry Bears were beaten 14-30 by reigning champions Huddersfield Underbank Rangers this afternoon.

At Westwood Heath Playing Fields, Huddersfield scored two trys in the 14th minute to lead 12-0.

However seven minutes later, Tsang got over for a try for The Bears, only for the visitors to run in a try in the 28th minute and make it 18-4 to Huddersfield.

In the 39th minute, Ross Bayston scored for the Bears with a converted try to reduce the arrears to eight points at the break.

Huddersfield added another converted try in the 50th minute but five minutes later, Steve Coleman scored with a great solo try.

Huddersfield increased their lead to sixteen points in the 64th minute and that was enough to condemn Coventry to a 14-30 defeat..
