Coventry Bears Beaten Away

Coventry Bears Rugby League team were beaten 22-16 at Whitehaven Kells this afternoon.

Coventry battled well and it was not until the 34th minute that the home side scored with a converted try to take a 6-0 lead.

The Bears hit hit back through a Rich Synott interception and it was all square going into the break.

Coventry dominated the opening exchanges of the second half and were in front by four points when Gavin Grant to scored wide on the right.

However, Kells hit back scoring three tries before Chris Dixon scored for the Bears through a Mark Wilson crossfield kick and Coventry went down to a 22-16 defeat.
