Cov Rugby Suffer Home Defeat

Coventry Rugby Club went down to a 39-27 defeat to London Scottish this afternoon.

There was a crowd of 1012 at the Butts Park Arena, who saw David Howells put the visitors ahead with a third minute try.

Gary Trueman went over again five minutes later with his try converted by Craig Radford and in the 14th minute, Howells scored again with Radford converting.

Coventry then woke up with Brett Haynes and Tom Harris scoring tries.

Jeff Gregson scored a third try for Coventry in the 42nd minute which Danny Richards converted before he scored a penalty.

Scottish came back with a converted Simon Amor try and Ben Dougall also ran in a try before Seb Pearson scored for Coventry with a try that Richards converted.

Radford kicked a drop goal and David Howells ran in London Scottish's sixth try of the game to inflict another home defeat on Coventry.
