Coventry Rugby Club went down to a 37-15 defeat by Blaydon.
At the Butts Park Arena, a crowd of 1302 saw Cliff Hodgson kick Cov ahead with a second minute penalty but the visitors replied with an eleventh minute Smithson try and one from Kibirge in the 14th minute.
Three minutes later, Davies came back with a try for Cov but four minutes before half-time, Kibirge scored a second try.
Blaydon continued their scoring in the second half with Penny going over in the 53rd minute and Bailey scoring a try eight minutes later, which Baggett converted.
That was followed by Baggett kicking a penalty and a conversion after Bate had scored with a 72nd minute try.
There was some joy late on when Hurrell ran in an 80th minute try which Hodgson converted but it was not enough.
