Cov Rugby Lose In Nottingham

Coventry Rugby Club were beaten 43-17 at Nottingham in a British & Irish Cup match this afternoon.

At Notts County's Meadow Lane home, Phil Maynard's side trailed at the break 26-3 with Ben Russell scoring a penalty.

In the second half, Carpenter and Lewis scored tries for Coventry with Russell kicking two conversions and another penalty.

Try scorers for Nottingham were Savage, White, Streather with a penalty try, Sammons and two from Cobden. Jackson converted on four occasions.

Other British and Irish Cup scores today were Bristol 34-17 Heriots and Cornish Pirates 37-14 Exeter.
