Cov Rugby Lose At Doncaster

Coventry Rugby Club were beaten 39-30 at Doncaster Knights.

A crowd of 1,068 at Castle Park saw Doncaster take the lead through a Dougie Flockhart try only for Coventry to come back with twenty points in eight minutes. That saw a try from Otutaha which was converted by Hodgson, Davies kick a penalty from sixty metres, Kholer go under the posts and Hodgson converting before Hodgson kicked a second penalty.

Flockhart kicked another penalty against a Coventry side who replaced their coach Scott Morgan with Smit.

Hodgson kicked a penalty to make it 23-18 to Coventry but before half-time, Lewis had reduced the lead to five points with a try.

Flockhart kicked a penalty early in the second half and another saw Doncaster take the lead and a lead, the National League One leaders were not to lose.

Flockhart converted after a penalty try and another penalty kick made it 34-23 before Flockhard completed an excellent day with a try.

Coventry scored a try late on which was converted by Hodgson but they were a beaten side.
