Cov Rugby End With A Win

Coventry Rugby Club ended their National League campaign with a home win against Tynedale.

Phil Maynard's side won 56-29 at Butts Park Arena this afternoon.

Charlie Lindsale opened the scoring with a third minute try which Matthew Oozson converted.

John Loudon kicked a penalty for Cov before the visitors went 17-3 up in the 23rd minute with tries from Rogers and Viggers.

A Jack Green try, converted by Loudon reduced the arrears only for Jack Harrison to run in a try up the other end which Oozson converted on the half hour mark.

By half-time it was 22-24 as Coventry came back through a Jeff Gregson try which Loudon converted and then one from Tom Harris.

In the 44th minute, Coventry were in front from a converted Tom Warren try which was followed two minutes later by Harris getting his second of the match.

Peter Cole scored for Tyndale but Coventry attacked once more and Jack Green went over in the 54th minute with Loudon converting before Gregson ran in three tries to give Coventry a 56-29 victory.
