Coventry Rugby Club came back to beat Richmond in a National Division One game.

There was a crowd of 931 at the Butt's Park Arena who saw Cov take a fourth minute lead through a Hurrell try.

Cliff Hodgson kicked a penalty before Richmond came back with a sixteenth minute Davies try and a 38th minute try from Freeman which Kirby converted to give the visitors a 12-8 lead at the break.

Cov came back with a 44th minute penalty but the visitors went further ahead in the 53rd minute when Davies ran in a try.

Three more penalties were awarded to Cov. Hodgson kicked two and Davies one and that was enough to give Scott Morgan's side the win by three points.
