Cov Rugby Club Have One Hull Of A Win

Coventry Rugby Club hammered Hull Ionians 67-14 at the Butts Park Arena.

A crowd of 1283 saw Coventry go ahead with an eighth minute Cliff Hodgson penalty but then concede a thirteenth minute Thundercliffe try which Green converted.

In the 29th minute, Roux ran in a try for Coventry and ten minutes later, Oliver did the same with this time Hodgson converting to see Cov lead 15-7 at half-time.

Coventry went on the attack in the second half with Knox scoring a 42nd minute try which Hodgson converted, followed by one for Le Roux in the 54th minute which again Hodgson converted.

Knox scored his second try of the game in the 57th minute with Daynes adding a try four minutes later that Hodgson kicked for the extra two points.

Knox completed a hat-trick of tries in the 68th minute with Hodgson converting as he did when Kohler went over in the 78th minute, after Heyling had scored for the visitors with Green converting

There was still time for Hurrell to score another five points and give Coventry a 67-14 win.
