Coventry Rugby Club beat Wharfedale 22-10 on a blustery afternoon at the Butts Park Arena.

Coventry, watched by a crowd of 917, went ahead through a second minute penalty from Cliff Hodgson and added five more points when Kohler went over for a ninth minute try.

Wharfedale hit back with ten points in three minutes from a Barrett drop goal in the fifteenth minute and two minutes later, a try from Jordan which Barrett converted.

However in first half stoppage time, Cov were back in front thanks to Hurrell going over for a try which Hodgson converted.

That saw Coventry 15-10 up and in a tight second half, there was only one try which fell to Northcote-Green who went over with Hodgson converting to give Coventry a 22-10 win.
