Council To Bring In Green Travel Plan For Gig

Coventry City Council will be operating a Green Travel plan for the Bon Jovi gig at the Ricoh Arena on June 24th.

All car park passes at the Arena have been sold for £15 on the basis that there must be two people or more in the car and the rest of the 25,000+ crowd can either use the £7 per car park and walk sites at Christ The King FC in Wheelwright Lane, St Finbarrs FC in Holbrook Lane or the Wayside Business Park.

There will be shuttle buses for £3 return from Lower Ford Street,Fairfax Street plus a dedicated service from Coventry train station as well as the ordinary buses which serve the Arena Tesco's.

Police will also use motorcyclists to ensure that those coming up the M6 to Junction 3, have two lanes to turn onto the A444 with the same coming back.
