Coventry City Ladies have received a major boost with the signing of Nikki Miles and Katie Singleton from their Centre of Excellence.

The two 16 year olds joined the club at the age of 9 and have steadily progressed through the ranks to make the step up to the senior squad. They join fellow graduates Adele Rogers, Jade Ogle, Nicole Tinto & Emily Hanson who all made the step up towards the end of last season.

Manager Paul Cudby welcomed news of the signings & hopes for big things from the youngsters. "You only have to look at how well Adele, Jade, Nicole & Emily have done so far this season, they've all performed to a very high level on a consistent basis. I'm really excited for the future of the girls & it's great to see that the hard work being done in the Centre of Excellence is reaping great rewards".

Chairman David Singleton was also on hand to see the youngsters put pen to paper. "I'm thrilled that we have two talented players now joining the senior ranks of the club. They demonstrate passion & sheer grit on the pitch & I'm confident that they will add a new dimension to the first team over the coming season. I'm especially pleased that having come to us as 9 year olds they act as a great example to our junior players proving that hard work really does pay off".

Miles, who plays full back & has Captained the Under 16s this season, looks to have a bright future having already been called up for the England Under 15s. Miles follows in the footsteps of fellow graduates Jade Formaston & Kelly-Anne Willis who have both represented their Country at various age groups. The young defender was on the bench for the recent County Cup tie with Stratford Town & will hope to make her debut away to West Bromwich Albion on Sunday.

Singleton has already made her debut for the senior squad albeit cameos off the bench in Coventry's last two matches. Within seconds of entering the recent cup tie versus Stratford Singleton was on the score sheet with an impressive run & strike. The speedy striker went on to play an important role in 2 further goals as Coventry romped to a 10-1 victory.
