Century For Bell

Coventrian Ian Bell hit 106 for Warwickshire on the second day of their County Championship game with Lancashire.

With no play yesterday, Warwicks won the toss and decided to bat.

With the score on two, Tony Frost was trapped lbw by Hogg but fit again Ian Westwood and Bell put on a partnership of 130 for the second wicket which saw Westwood caught Smith bowled Hogg.

Hogg's third wicket was that of Bell who had faced 180 balls and hit 14 fours in a splendid innings of 106.

That left Warwicks on 210-3. Seventeem runs later, Jim Troughton was caught but Jon Trott moved the score on before bad light stop play with the score on 256-4.

In the second Ashes test, England closed on 364-6 with Andrew Strauss 161 not out.
