Mark Cavendish has won a second stage of the Tour De France.

In Stage 8 from Figeac to Toulouse, Cavendish's Team Colombia team worked well to get the 23 year old Manx man to the front as they approached the finish of the 172.5km stage .

Suddenly, Cavendish shot to his left and powered for the line to win.

After the race which was his 21st win as a provisional he said: "It was brilliant my team controlled the race and it was perfect timing. I didn't feel too good yesterday but today I was fired up for the sprint and that was it. "I'm not tired and I'm going to keep going for as long as I can."

His team mate Gerald Clocek was second and another team mate Kim Kerchen keeps the yellow jersey. Oscar Friere is still in the yellow jersey.
