Coventry City Supporter and lightweight boxer Baz Carey was beaten on points tonight.

Baz Carey took on Jamie Spence from Northampton in a four three minute round lightweight contest at the York Hall in London.

Carey, who took Amir Khan the distance, threw some good punches but Spence did most of the work in the opening round.

Wearing sky blue trunks with a St George's cross, Carey was more defensive in the second round looking for the opening. The City supporter finished the round strongly with a couple of head shots.

Carey blocked every Spence shot as the fight went into an untidy third round. A few upper cuts did get through but Spence took the round.

In the final round, Spence attacked early whilst Carey who was cut on the left side of the face tried to get punches through only for them to be blocked.

Spence got the decision of referee Lewis who scored the fight 40-36 to the Northampton boxer.
