Brinklow finally overcame a spirited Jet Blades performance by booking their place in the 2014 Major Boyd-Carpenter Cup Final, where they will meet the winners of Thursdays 2nd Semi-Final between Rugby and The Bell (AEI) Rugby, which is to be played at the Sphinx ground, Siddeley Avenue, Kick off is 7pm.
The early stages of the game was evenly contested until Brinklow scored about 10 mins before half-time. Brinklow began to take control as the 2nd half wore on and eventually ran out deserving 4-1 winners.
Brinklow`s goalscorers were: Matt James, Andy Gordon, Jamie Fox and Ollie Chater. John Russell (penalty) replied for Jet Blades.
The Final of the Boyd-Carpenter Cup will be played at Hawkesmill Sports Ground, Hawkesmill Lane on Friday 2nd May 2014, Kick off is 6-15pm
