Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey team won 4-3 tonight at Belfast Giants in an Elite League fixture.

In Belfast tonight, about fifty Coventry fans made the trip and were doing plenty of singing.

They had little to watch in the first half with the Blaze only managing four shots but in the second, Adam Calder gave Coventry the lead.

Bateman equalised before Robinson tapped in after a Calder shot was saved by Murphy and Chambers scored before the end of the period to give Blaze a 3-1 lead.

The third period saw Colin Shields pull a goal back for the home side but with four minutes of the match left, Greg Chambers scored his second goal of the evening, firing a wrist shot high into the top corner.

Szwez scored with 3.27 left as the Blaze left Belfast with a 4-3 victory.

The sides meet on Sunday night at the Sky Dome. Face off is at 6pm.
