Coventry Blaze put in a terrific performance to win 3-1 at Nottingham Panthers.

Having moved up to third in the table after the 7-6 over time win over Manchester Phoenix last night, Paul Thompson's side trailed to a Matthew Myers short handed goal on 7.48.

But in the second period, December's Player Of The Month - Sylvain Deschalets equalised on 26.43 from assists by Dan Carlson and Erik Hjalmarsson.

It was the Swede who then put Coventry in front when he fired home on 35.11, assisted by Deschalets and Jon Weaver.

With both sides down to four men on the ice, Danny Stewart wrapped up a good win when he scored from a Blake Forsyth assist on 58. 52.

On Wednesday night, the Blaze are at home to Belfast Giants in the Challenge Cup Semi-Final 1st Leg and on Saturday, travel to Hull Stingrays before taking on league leaders Sheffield Steelers at the Sky Dome next Sunday.
