Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey Club won 4-0 tonight at Newcastle Vipers.

In Whitley Bay, Arron Nell put the Blaze ahead on 2.42, assisted by Luke Fulghum and Dan Carlson.

Two minutes later, Fulghum turned from provider to goalscorer when he found the net, assisted by Dan Carlson and Jon Weaver.

The Blaze support had to wait for a third goal until the 27th minute when Brad Cruickshank who later picked up a ten minute penalty for unsportsman like conduct, scored.

And in the final period, Arron Nell scored his second goal of the night on 52.42 with a powerplay goal, assisted by Sean Selsmer and Jon Weaver to wrap up a good night's work.

On Sunday night, The Blaze take on Champions elect Cardiff Devils at the Sky Dome. The game which is raising funds for the Children's ward at University Hospital (Coventry & Warwickshire) at Walsgrave, is likely to be a sell out.

The Elite League is pleased to confirm its second fans' forum, which will be held at Crosby's Bar at Coventry Blaze's Skydome Arena. This will take place on Wednesday 2nd March at 7.30pm.

The first fans' forum took place at Nottingham's National Ice Centre and was a fantastic success. Over 150 people attended and heard from various members of the Elite League, plus special guests.

On the panel in Coventry will be Paul Thompson (Blaze head coach), Andy French (Elite League director of hockey operations), Simon Kirkham (Elite League head of discipline) and Andy Dalton (linesman).

Thompson said: "I am pleased to welcome the fans' forum to Coventry. I hear the first event in Nottingham was a great success.

"It is important for the Elite League to reach out to the supporters and for supporters to have the chance to become more understanding of how the League is operated.  This is a perfect opportunity to do that."

The event will begin with a rules clinic from Simon Kirkham, which will involve a DVD and audience participation.

There'll be a chance to learn more about the officials, before the evening ends with a question and answer session with the panel.

If you wish to attend this event please send an email to media@eliteleague.co.uk requesting how many tickets you require. There is no charge to attend.
