Blaze Win At Hull

Coventry Blaze won 5-4 tonight at Hull Stingrays.

Around sixty Blaze fans made the trip to Hull for this Elite League game and saw Dan Carlson put Coventry ahead on 19 seconds assisted by Luke Fulghum.

On 7.28, it was 2-0, thanks to Russ Cowley finding the net, assisted by Robinson.

Just over two minutes later and the Blaze fans were celebrating a third goal when Sandahl failed to deal with Luke Fulghum who scored.

Adam Calder get in on the scoring act on 14.55 when he netted assisted by Cowley and Matty Soderstrom, whose future at The Blaze despite eight years of service, looks uncertain.

Hull swapped their net minder bringing on Andy Jasczyzk but seventeen seconds into the second period, he was looking at the puck in the back of his net as Luke Fulghum scored the fifth, assisted by Jon Weaver.

It looked like a massacre was on the cards but The Blaze took their foot off the gas and allowed the home side to score through Silverthorn on 22.03.

With the Stingrays on a 5 v 3, Curtis Huppe hit a second for Hull on 28.06, assisted by Glowa.

A third goal for the home side came when thanks to a 2 on 1 break after Robinson left out of position with a chance in front of the Hull net.

The fast and furious hockey continued into the third period and although Thompson hit a fourth with just over eight minutes remaining, Luc Chabot's side held on to win.

Tomorrow night, it's all back to the Sky Dome. The Face Off is at 6pm.
