Coventry Blaze won a thrilling game 4-3 at Cardiff Devils.
In Cardiff tonight, there was a good turn out of travelling Blaze fans to see Coventry make the most of Cardiff being penalised for a bench minor and Kevin Harvey scored the powerplay goal, assisted by Shea Guthrie and Mike Egener on 16.39.
The Devils drew level on 25.34 when Mac Faulkner thumped a wrist action shot into the net, assisted by Tomas Kurka and Phil Cook and then went in front on 30.54 when Mark Richardson scored, assisted by Max Birbraer and Ben Davies.
Into the final period and with Mike Egener off for slashing, the Blaze countered and they were back level with a goal from Shea Guthrie, assisted by Benn Olson on 43.27.
On 52.10 and with Cardiff on the powerplay, Max Birbraer scored an , unassisted which Blaze net minder Zacharias should have done better with.
Parity was restored for a third time when Cale Tanaka levelled for the Blaze, assisted Ashley Tait and Ryan Ginand at 53.33.
Keeping the pressure on Cardiff worked and on 55.45, Ashley Tait made it 4-3 to Coventry, assisted by Ryan Ginand.
Cardiff had a late powerplay but the Blaze survived and recorded a great win.
